Mission and Philosophy
Our Mission...
The mission of Trinity School of Frederick is to educate children in a stimulating academic environment within a Christian community of faith to become leaders for good in the world. Trinity is an independent school that:
-
fosters intellectual, spiritual, artistic, and physical potential;
-
builds strong, independent thinkers; and
-
develops children of character and integrity.
Our Philosophy...
As an educational and outreach ministry of the Episcopal and Lutheran churches, Trinity School will be a place where Christ's love is felt by all. Trinity will provide a stimulating academic environment reflecting a caring Judaic-Christian heritage, providing a strong foundation on which students learn to appreciate the world and their place in it and fostering a lifelong intellectual curiosity. We value a learning atmosphere that:
-
supports and challenges intellectual curiosity;
-
fosters self-confidence and initiative;
-
respects the gifts of each child;
-
encourages persistence and responsibility;
-
is joyful, exciting, and nurturing; and
-
secure, and orderly
Essential to Trinity's mission are sound educational goals. We seek to empower all students to discover within themselves that they are children of God, loved by God. We encourage the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and artistic potential of all our pupils. We value a program that:
-
challenges each student;
-
enriches with technology;
-
integrates the arts;
-
provides a variety of learning experiences;
-
develops strong organizational and study habits; and
-
fosters growth and understanding of Christian faith.
We value the presence of religious, cultural, racial, and socio-economic diversity in the school community. Relationships within the school will nurture understanding, respect, and care for others in all of Trinity's children. These goals will be met through a cooperative approach involving the student, faculty, parents, and friends.
We value a school community whose members:
-
show respect and empathy for others;
-
serve the community through personal contribution;
-
are positive role models; and
-
demonstrate integrity, responsibility and discipline.
