Overview
Trinity School of Frederick is a state of Maryland approved independent school offering students in grades K-8 a top-quality liberal arts education within a safe and supportive Christian community of faith. Our highly educated faculty is devoted to fostering the self-confidence, talent, and academic potential of each student. We seek to develop children of character and integrity who have an appreciation of the world and their place in it, a lifelong intellectual curiosity, and who are fully prepared for the rigors of high school and college.
It is our intent that Trinity students graduate as
strong, independent thinkers, not just good test-takers. We know that every
child learns in his or her own way, so we limit our class sizes to enable
teachers to meet the needs of individuals. Trinity's challenging academic
programs integrate art and music in all disciplines. Our curriculum is
enriched with Spanish (taught 3 times per week beginning in kindergarten),
physical education (4 times per week), and religion (once per week).
Trinity School of Frederick is affiliated with the Frederick Regional Council of Episcopal Churches in partnership with Evangelical Lutheran Church, Frederick and Urbana. Our Episcopal-Lutheran affiliation provides a caring and safe environment, as well as the standard of conduct that we expect our students to exhibit at school and to carry forward into the community. Trinity students are taught to show respect and empathy for others, to be positive role models, and to be leaders in service to their communities. Episcopal-Lutheran theology is expressed during weekly chapel services and religious classes, as well as activities such as the Christmas Pageant.
Trinity welcomes and values families of all religious, cultural, racial, and socio-economic backgrounds. Relationships and academic programs within the school seek to nurture understanding, respect, and appreciation for the rich diversity of our community and the world.
