Trinity School Parent Teacher
The Parent-Teacher-Organization at Trinity School is a very active group committed to providing support the Trinity School community. Membership in the PTO is open to any parent and/or guardian of a student at Trinity school. Officers include co-presidents, vice president, secretary, treasurer and PTO representative on the Board of Trustees. In addition, a teacher representative attends meetings to help plan events and convey information to fellow teachers and staff.
PTO currently maintains the following standing committees:
Outreach: The cold weather clothing drive and Christmas Giving programs provide our children a tangible way to reach out to the less fortunate in our community.
Hospitality: Events such as the Grandparents Day luncheon, teacher appreciation events, semi-monthly hot lunch, gently used uniform sales, and open house coffees are held throughout the year.
Fundraising: The major source of income for the PTO budget is the Sally Foster program conducted in the fall. A book fair is also held in the fall to support classroom libraries. Restaurant nights have been held at local restaurants where a portion of the sales for an evening are donated to the Trinity School PTO. Additional programs such as the General Mills Box Tops program, Giant Food A+ Bonus Bucks, and various store rebate programs supplement our income.
Cultural Arts: Programs in music, dance, art, literature, and drama are carefully chosen that provide unique experiences for our children and supplement the curriculum whenever possible. Artists, writers, musicians, scientists and other special interest groups and performers have visited Trinity School.
Social: Coordinates fun events for families to fostering friendships and school community. The back-to-school picnic, Frederick Keys Baseball game night, Fun Day and adult socials are favorites.
Garden Club: Members of this
committee work to keep our school looking great inside and out. Volunteers
paint, decorate, and landscape. This committee also works with students to
plant around the building on Earth Day.
